 Malinska-Dubašnica 

The name Malinska originates from the water-mill built in the 15th century. In the past, Malinska was the main 
island port for wood exportation as well as a favourite tourist destination for the nobility of Vienna whereas today, it is a famous European summer resort. In 1885, a participant of one of these hunting expeditions was the Austrian Crown Prince Rudolph of Habsburg. Thanks to his enchantment with Malinska, the number of visitors started to grow in the years that followed. Visitors enchanted with its beauty, often refer to Malinska as "the pearl of the Kvarner islands". 

Malinska is a tourist village located in a bay on the western side of the island of Krk. Thanks to this position, it is protected from cold winds, with a small number of precipitations, a mild Mediterranean climate and around 260 days of sunshine a year. The abundant vegetation, the bays and beaches with crystal clear water. The beach "Rupa" has a blue flag, a recognition of quality and equipment and for the beach. Malinska, with its long and beautiful promenade and offers culture and art history, sporting activities such as bowling, horse riding, a tennis court, mini golf and a variety of water sports.
